Beacon Isles

Support

Questions, ideas or a map that seems wrong? Email support@seniv.dev. It helps to mention your phone and the version shown at the bottom of the game's Settings.

How do I play?

Place one beacon on every island so that each row and each column holds exactly one beacon, and no two beacons touch, not even at the corners. Tap a cell once to cross it out, again for a beacon, and drag to cross out several cells. How to play, on the home screen, shows the rules again.

I'm stuck. Does this map really have a solution?

Yes. Every map has exactly one solution and can be solved by logic alone. Tap Hint: it points at the next step and explains why it follows.

How many hints do I get?

Three free hints every day, and they come back at midnight. After that, each new hint plays a short video first. If no video can be shown, for example when you're offline, the hint is free. Asking again for the same hint on the same board never counts twice.

Why are there ads?

Ads keep the game free: the hint videos, and sometimes an ad when you move on to the next level. There is never an ad while you play a map or after the Daily map, and an ad between levels waits a few minutes after the last ad. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Settings, Privacy choices lets you change whether ads can be personalized; the privacy policy has the details.

What do the hearts mean?

A beacon in the wrong place costs one of your three hearts. Lose all three and you try the same map again with fresh hearts.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, on your phone, after every move. There is no account, so progress stays on that phone. Your phone's own backup (Android backup or iCloud backup) may include it when you move to a new phone.

How do I start over?

Settings, Reset progress. It clears solved maps, Daily results and boards in progress, and can't be undone.

Can I turn off sounds, vibration or the timer?

Yes, each one has its own switch in Settings, along with the light, dark or system theme.
